Wondimu Ayele is a Statistician with a specialization in public health biostatistics and health informatics.He is an Assistant Professor for Biostatistics and Health Informatics, and Health Informatics Capacity Building and Mentorship Project Director at School of Public Health, College of Health Sciences at Addis Ababa University.  He has worked at the Federal Ministry of Health, Addis Ababa University, World Bank and World Health Organization for more than ten years. He joined the SPH as an academic staff in July 2013 and has been engaged in teaching biostatistics, health informatics and research methods courses for both undergraduate, medical, and postgraduate public health and biomedical students at the College of Health Sciences.  His is interested in data science and implementation science research to strengthen health information systems in low income countries.  Mr. Ayele has remarkable experience in epidemiological research design, in-depth analysis and operational research, infectious diseases transmission modelling and predication. He has participated in the design of several survey protocols and health information system redesign in low income countries. He has published over 30 peer-reviewed papers in reputed international journals so far. Wondimu is a PhD Fellow at the Institute of Medicine, Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Informatics, Martin Luther University, Germany. Wondimu Ayele, has also been a Health Information System Technical Advisor Committee member at Ministry of health since 2018.
