Se-In is in her second year of the Population Health Sciences PhD program with a specialization in Health Systems at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Her research interest focuses on the measurement and improvement of health care quality, health equity, and program evaluation in low-income settings using econometric methods. Prior to beginning her doctoral studies, she worked as a manager for Korea International Cooperation Agency HQ and Ethiopia Office, where she managed multiple development programs including global health projects. Se-In obtained her Bachelors in Political Science in 2012 from the Korea University.
