Dr Rose Jepchumba Kosgei an Obstetrician/Gynaecologist, Gynecologic Oncologist and Senior Lecturer at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, University of Nairobi, with over 13 years of clinical, research and academic experience. She holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery Degree (Moi University, Kenya, 2004), Masters in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (University of Nairobi, Kenya, 2011), Fellowship in Gynaecologic Oncology (University of Nairobi, 2021), Masters in Science in Clinical Trials (London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, UK, 2012), a Postgraduate Diploma in Biomedical Research Methodology (University of Nairobi, Kenya, 2009) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Trials (London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, UK, 2010). Rose has two fellowships. Fogarty Research Fellowship: HIV/AIDS in Women (Brown University, Providence, RI, USA, 2009), and Operations Research Fellowship (Centre for Operational Research, International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease, France, 2011).
 
Rose has provided consultancy services in health sector monitoring & evaluation, health policy, health systems strengthening strategic leadership and programmatic guidance in obstetrics and gynaecology, gynaecologic oncology, TB, HIV/AIDS, and Non-Communicable Diseases. A strategic stakeholder relationship builder, able to cultivate and foster relations with Ministry of Health partners, national and county governments, donors, local and international organizations. She has about 100 refereed publications, supervised over 30 postgraduate students to completion and run four funded projects as principal investigator. Excellent writer, effective communicator, fluent in English and Kiswahili, and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
