Dr. Munir K. Eshetu is the Senior Technical Advisor to the Minister at Ministry of Health of Ethiopia.His role includes strengthening health information system and supporting COVID-19 response. He served as chief of staff to the state minister at Ministry of Health of Ethiopia. He has also served as director of health service quality and safe surgery directorate at the ministry. Dr. Eshetu has more than 16 years of academic, clinical practice and research in the health system of the country. His main interest is defining, measuring and improving health systems quality at policy level.  He has vast experience in designing and implementing quality improvement initiatives in maternal and reproductive health as well. He is also involved in writing strategic plans, policy briefs and different strategies for the health system. Before joining public health, he worked as OBGYN in clinical medicine.
