Dr. Celestin Hategeka is a Banting Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard School of Public Health and QUEST improvement workstream lead researcher. Dr. Hategeka studies health system performance and policies targeting health system improvement to generate evidence that can help inform optimization of effective coverage of health interventions and ultimately improve population health outcomes and people's confidence in health systems equitably. Before starting his research career, he practiced medicine and was also involved in implementation of health system improvement interventions in Rwanda. Dr Hategeka holds a PhD in health services and policy research and an MSc in population and public health from the University of British Columbia and an MD from the University of Rwanda.
