Dr. Anagaw Derseh Mebratie is an Assistant Professor at the School of Public Health, Addis Ababa University. He earned his first degree in Economics from the Ethiopian Civil Service University. He completed his Master’s Degree and PhD in Development Studies at Erasmus University Rotterdam. In his academic career, he offers various health economics and health system management courses to undergraduate and postgraduate students. In addition to teaching, he is also involved in research and community services. His previous and current research focuses on health service utilization, health expenditure, impact evaluation of health interventions, and assessing the link between health and socioeconomic status. Over the past 10 years, He has contributed to various research projects involving a multidisciplinary team of experts from local and international institutions. Dr. Mebratie is a member of the QuEST network and serves as the E-cohort lead for the Ethiopian QuEST center from the Addis Ababa University side.
