Join the Network

The QuEST Network is a global partnership of researchers, policymakers, multilateral organizations, national governments, and development partners, who are advancing health system quality research.

QuEST Research Affiliate

QuEST Research Affiliates are research groups or institutions that implement at least one core QuEST Network research activity. Affiliates also engage in QuEST activities such as webinars and skill building, contribute to discussions and forums, and serve as policy liaisons to governments, national leaders, and development partners.

Engagement Requirements

  • Lead at least one of the core QuEST Network research projects within a defined local context
  • Lead or coauthor research publications as per ICMJE author guidelines
  • Share anonymized, de-identified research data collected as part of QuEST collaborations for open access through the QuEST Network, in line with the Network’s mission to build a global health system quality evidence base
  • Provide meaningful capacity building through the QuEST Network
  • Lead at least one QuEST Research Seminar
  • Contribute to evidence institutionalization

QuEST Research Center

QuEST Research Centers comprise the engine of the QuEST Network by creating, implementing, and disseminating research for policy transformation for all core QuEST research activities. Centers work closely with national policymakers to use the evidence generated through QuEST research to inform health system transformation. QuEST Centers contribute to and benefit from the Network’s skill building activities. The QuEST Center at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health serves as the secretariat for the Network.

Engagement Requirements

  • Lead all core QuEST research activities at the country-level
  • Lead or coauthor research publications as per ICMJE author guidelines
  • Share anonymized, de-identified research data collected as part of QuEST collaborations for open access through the QuEST Network, in line with the Network’s mission to build a global health system quality evidence base
  • Mentor junior health system researchers
  • Participate in the design and delivery of skill building activities such as in-person trainings and online seminars
  • Contribute to the QuEST Coordinating Committee
  • Attend annual QuEST Network symposia

QuEST Center Benefits

  • Close collaboration with QuEST Centers on all core QuEST activities
  • Full access to QuEST skill building activities (including in-person and online training courses)
  • Funding for tuition/stipends for symposia, workshops, and courses
  • Access to research funding opportunities and opportunities to apply for funding jointly with other Centers
  • Opportunity to influence strategic direction of QuEST research through the Coordinating Committee

QuEST Community

The QuEST Community includes anyone interested in QuEST Network activities. QuEST Community members can range from individuals and policy makers, to advocates, program implementers, members of the media, and civil society organizations.
